Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party service that provides the results. Carrollton Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Our host may create standard server logs that include an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
We use the limited information described here to run the site, correct technical problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links may lead to county or state record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. A destination’s own privacy policy governs information submitted there. That includes sponsored-result services furnished by an outside provider.
Data Recipients
Hosting and support providers may process logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers can receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when a valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise only as described here.
Safeguards and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the operating purposes above require. No site account, password, or visitor profile is maintained here.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent us information, and we will remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Texas’s Data Privacy and Security Act, Business & Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide rights for personal-data processing that falls within its scope. Texas’s Data Broker Act is codified in Business & Commerce Code Chapter 510. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking our contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing applicable information. Use the Contact page to request that review. Government-held records are controlled by their city, county, or state custodian, so removal or correction requests for those records must go to that office.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will appear here. Continued use after a revised version is posted means that you accept the updated policy.
